My work reflects the tribal traditions, beliefs and superstitions of my Anatolian heritage. The rôle of women as artists in these societies had a profound influence on tribal folklore; the secret language of beliefs, potions, signs and skills being represented by motifs. Using a number of different techniques, I work with those symbolic patterns to pass on my own message
